Rubella Vaccination
Houston Center for Infectious Diseases provides the following vaccines to prevent the Rubella:
MMR: contains measles, mumps, and rubella combination vaccines
MMRV: contains easles, mumps, rubella, and varicella (chickenpox) combination vaccines
Rubella is a contagious disease that is caused by a virus. In children, the disease is usually mild with fever and a rash. But, if a pregnant woman gets infected, the virus can cause serious birth defects. Rubella can be prevented with vaccination.
